Seeing As God Sees

THE CHAPLAIN’S BUCKETFUL
THE EARNEST OF MY EXPECTATION
SEEING AS GOD SEES, AND THUS MAKES NEW/HEALS

Dr., can I know that God will heal my own or another’s hurts/wounds? When I obey/act on His promises, are they not “YEA AND AMEN?” A Learning Minister searches for the “earnest” of his expectations.

Dear Learning Minister. Yea, I am also finding that I came into the world knowing nothing and I still have most of it…. After 60 years as a minister of the gospel, I still only know a smidgen of “my share” of how to know how and what when it comes to ministering healing/deliverance/counseling. Believing and experiencing how AND WHAT TO SAY OR DO, for sure, the HOLY SPIRIT is my counselor and guide as an AMBASSADOR OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD. The question is, where does one start? Upon learning of a need, a problem or having a revelation of knowledge or wisdom I ask the Lord to allow me to feel, hear, see, and smell as does He and for the same reason and purpose. Then I search in my experience and learning for biblical parallels or examples of the need. A recent call for help and ministry for healing will help us learn God’s order of ministry.

A lady called the church and asked for someone to visit and pray for her. I was asked to go. It is turning out that I am being blessed even as she is yet to experience her pains being healed, even after several weeks of ministry and earnest intercession. Her complaints include BELLS PALSY, stomach pain, a cancerous sore on her shin, back pain, head aches, and no relief yet. She has called almost daily for about 100 days. She is a Pentecostal lady and knows the Bible very well and asserts that God is true and faithful, never doubting that one can believe every promise.

Back pain. She had(has) one leg shorter than the other, which will cause back pains. As we agreed, I commanded the legs to grow even. She felt a “tightening” in a joint, but pain still there.

Shin sore(diagnosed by her doctor as a cancer). A strange thing happened to me. One day, with still no explanation of how or why, a sore appeared on my shin, same place and appearance as hers. Why? I came to believe that as I asked to feel and experience what she does, that it was an empathetic sore. One who ministers healing often will have “sympathy pains”, therefore, I am no longer surprised nor do I question the why or how of that sore. My sore has completely healed over with no indication that it was ever there. Hers is still hurting and draining. She had asked for someone from the church to come and anoint her with oil for healing and to pray for her. As an elder that is what I do. See Mark 16. 17-18. My wife and I went , laid our hands upon her and anointed her with oil for healing and prayed with the same expectation that we often still experience but with no indication of her healing. Since then, the dear lady calls almost daily. She claims that I am helping her but I seek an “earnest” of our expectation.

My latest question to the Lord stems from Rom. 4.17, 18: … “God, quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. (Abraham) who against hope believed in hope according to that which was spoken.…” Though this passage does not specifically deal with healing, the promise of God seems to me to apply to my present concern. The lady told me that the same idea came to her about the same time as to me. Is that coincidence?

My Prayer: “Lord, if I call the gout in my feet as if it is not and if I call on you accordingly will you then cause my feet to be healed? And will you also let it be the ‘earnest’ of our expectations?

RX FOR HEALING: With HIS PROMISES being: ALL AND EACH YEA AND AMEN, ONE MUST BELIEVE AND AGREE COMPLETELY WITH EACH PROMISE. I,E, Amen each one. Comments and criticism welcome.
